JKSS Editorial and Publishing Process Policies
The Journal of Kurdistani for Strategic Studies aims to uphold high standards in publishing within social sciences and humanities. It welcomes original research articles, reviews, and research components from various disciplines, with an emphasis on knowledge advancement, societal impact, and practical applications. The journal employs a thorough peer review process that guarantees confidentiality and impartiality.
Focus and Scope
JKSS is a prestigious journal dedicated to publishing original research articles, review articles, theses, and dissertations for the editor. It covers a broad range of disciplines in social and human sciences. The journal aims to promote scientific understanding by publishing influential papers. It employs a double-blind peer-review process to ensure thorough evaluation by experts.
Plagiarism Policy
JKSS uses tools to detect plagiarism. Plagiarism involves taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as your own. The JKSS Editorial Board will assess each case of plagiarism individually. If plagiarism is discovered at any stage before publication, including after acceptance, during editing, or at the page correction phase, the author will be notified. The author will be asked to either rewrite the text or cite it exactly and specify the original source. If at least 15% of the original content is found to be plagiarized, JKSS reserves the right to reject the manuscript.
Length Policy
The journal provides guidelines for the expected length of submitted manuscripts, including regular research papers and reviews. The guidelines specify the abstract and references but exclude figure captions or table content. The length requirements are as follows:
Regular research paper:
Between 3000 and 6000 words: Acceptable (Less than 15 figures)
More than 6000 words: Overlong (Any number)
Review paper:
Up to 10,000 words: Acceptable (Less than 20 figures)
Publication Frequency
The JKSS Journal is published twice a year, with accepted papers released online before print. It releases two issues: one from January to June and the other from July to December. As an Open Access Journal, published articles can be freely downloaded without barriers.
Ethics Policy
JKSS maintains the highest ethical standards in research, ensuring the integrity and trustworthiness of scholarly work. Key principles include informed consent, privacy and confidentiality, special considerations for vulnerable populations, data integrity, disclosure of potential conflicts of interest, and ethical review.
This process involves evaluation by at least two independent, expert peer reviewers, following the principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The selection of peer reviewers is based on factors such as expertise, reputation, recommendations, and the absence of conflicts of interest. The journal values the diverse expertise of its peer reviewers and encourages their valuable feedback to uphold the highest standards of academic excellence and integrity.
